Cuppa Tea with the Vet – Martin Whitehead

We are so excited to announce our next Cuppa Tea with the vet! Martin Whitehead MRCVS!

This vet was nominated by the wonderful Tanya Crawley of Vets4pets in Swindon.

Martin is 1 of 2 Directors of Chipping Norton Veterinary Hospital. He is an exotics vet! He will be our first one on the show!

Martin told us this:

I am one of two Directors of Chipping Norton Veterinary Hospital in rural Oxfordshire.  We are a small animal, exotics and zoo practice – we stopped doing farm and horse work a couple of years ago.  My own work is part small-animal & exotics first-opinion practice, part small-animal referral medicine (we do CT scanning and I run a radioiodine unit for treating hyperthyroid cats), part exotics referrals, and part zoo work.  And part running an independent veterinary practice!
Before I was a vet, I was a medical research scientist working in ENT Departments in US medical schools, studying how ears work and developing diagnostic tests for deafness.
