Cuppa Tea With the Vet – Janet Bain
Janet is possibly one of the the most diverse people we have spoken to yet! What a joy to learn all about her. She has managed to learn to control her environment and make life exactly what she wants it to be! Well done! As a result she now has an Instagram page to help support new grads so they don’t feel so lost when they first start in the veterinary world.
Janet didnt know what she wanted to do for a living, but she opted to pursue veterinary and has done really well. She even starts an internship on Monday! Outside of this she has made sure there has been time to pursue her other passion for fashion. She also reads and started to write books. But she has never actually watched castaway, so I did tell her she must do this, as it is a classic! If you don’t know who Wilson is you will miss so many jokes!
She definitely scores highly on the spontaneity scale! She actually met her partner only hours before booking a flight and flying over to meet him in Switzerland! How incredible is that! And it all worked out well and years later they are still together! Wow!
What Janet Loves About Physio:
Yeah, I love that you don’t need to medicate an animal with physiotherapy. I think the fact that you can help them through movement is amazing. And I mean, every drug will have some form of potential side effect. So I think it’s so nice that we can help patients by referring them to a physiotherapist. I’ve been to physiotherapy and it helps so much that I feel we should be doing it more than we do. I think most vets: we don’t refer that much and I feel like we should.
