Hello and welcome to Cooper. Such a sweet and insanly cute yorkie cross.

Poor thing had a fracture only a week after going to the new home. Sadly the only option was to remove the top of the hip. This is called a femoral head and neck excision, or FHNE.

Dogs can do incredibly well with this procedure. But he was so little that he was a challange to convince to do the excercises! But mum and dad worked hard and succeeded!

It was a long recovery sadly. But we got there in the end. After much discussion of bizzare story twists, its thought that the fracture may well have occired before they even got the puppy. Luckily they did as they loved and cared for Cooper immensily.
