The Best Goodbye – Book
The Best Goodbye. I am proud to announce that I have written a book.
This was born from my loss of my boy “Logan”. He was a massive part of my life and my success. At 16 years of age, he had been with me through my most formative years and influenced much of my work. Indeed, he can be found throughout this website and much of my social media.
In super brief, this book is where I share my journey of love and loss. I share my history and how Logan and I grew our strong bond. I share my pregrief/anticipatory grief, worry and anxiety about what might happen and when. I finally share those final days, how it looked and felt, and the days and weeks that followed. I end this book with a list of suggestions so you can feel prepared for your best goodbye, and how to find support when you need it most.
I have done this because I know that I am not alone in my grief. I know many of us still feel loss and sadness years after they leave us. Whilst most of his memory makes me smile, I can still shed a tear when the moment takes me, even years after he has gone. This is ok, this is normal, this is LOVE.
Launched 6th October 2024, this is Hot off the Press!
The Best Goodbye is £12.99 and right now I am still offering FREE Postage and Packaging*.

Back cover blurb
It was late evening on a cold, crisp November night where, out of the blue, Donna experienced a flashback to that painful, gut-wrenching night in January, nearly two years previously, when she had to say goodbye to her beloved dog, Logan.
It was from this unexpected flashback that Donna decided to share her reflections and insights, and so The Best Goodbye is her story.
It’s a journey of grief from the loss of Logan - her best friend and soulmate – and one that Donna knows is shared by so many who lose their animal family members. A loss that often leaves a feeling of isolation, as some in society still consider them as “just pets”.
Donna also offers practical tips for dealing with our individual loss and grief, as well as highlighting the choices available to us, to help give the best goodbye for our ‘furfriends’ when that time comes.
‘As time passes, we want to look back with warmth. Having our best goodbye really helps us to feel we have given them the greatest final gift. In turn, we will have given ourselves the gifts of solace, peace and healing.’
Trigger Warning
Please be aware this book may evoke many emotions. It is designed to empower your thoughts before you say goodbye. However I do recognize that it may also evoke feelings of guilt and sadness over previous goodbyes. Life is a journey and we learn as we walk it. There is no judgment for choices we have made under the circumstances we are faced with. Warm hugs and strength to every reader for their own journey.
